Many of the most tragic tales are hidden behind an impressive career. Lolo Jones, winner of both USA championships and World Championships in hurdle events was able to achieve her standing with lots of effort and an immense amount of perseverance. Jones was the sole child of a five-child family who lived in extreme poverty. Her mother was constantly moving around and even been living in a basement church for a length of time. A life of constant movement made it necessary for Jones to change schools and attend an entirely new school each year until the time she entered high school. Jones was kept apart from her family during Theodore Roosevelt for the purpose of competing in athletics in track and field. Jones lived in four distinct homes during her time in high school to ensure that she could attend all of her classes in the same place. Jones was awarded an award called the Gatorade Iowa Track & Field Athlete of the Year award at school and was also an active member of the orchestra at school, playing a cello player. Jones was one of the top hurdlers when she first entered the college. The year 2002 was the time she won the winner of the 100-meter hurdles in the NCAA Track & Field Championship. In addition, she was on the team who finished 2nd in the 100 meters relay. Jones is the NCAA champion in indoor hurdles in both the year 2003 as well as 2014. Jones began her track career in 2005 after she graduated from university. In the same year, she took home in the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026, she won the Ostrava Track race and Heusden.
Brandt was born and raised in Cape Town in South African. She emigrated into Auckland New Zealand with her family during her late teens. Brandt was discovered by casting directors in her home town and was cast in the role as Naevia for the Starz hit Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. In the course of her partnership together with Steven S. D Knight's and Sam Raimi's producers, she was an instant star. Mazikeen appeared as the Vertigo/DC comics popular Mazikeen in Netflix's Lucifer that ran for six seasons. Forbes listed Lucifer as the top binge-watched show for 2021. Brandt's next appearance is in an episode of six in the Walking Dead spin-off in 2024, opposite Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurrira. Brandt also appears alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan Chris Meloni and Chris Meloni as Captain Fall in an adult-oriented film which will premiere on Netflix on July 20, 2023. Lesley Ann Brandt was born on 2nd December 1981, in Cape Town South Africa. She is one talented New Zealander actor. Lesley Brandt along with the remainder of her family moved from the United States to Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. In Auckland she began working as a salesperson, and then be promoted to the position of IT manager consultant. Lesley began modeling, after which she began appearing in commercials. Her acting degree was completed in 2008 and continued to study the methods of Meisner. Lesley's first major acting gig was on the new Zealand TV series Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt is a supporting character on New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. In addition, she was on the Science-fiction drama series called This Is Not My Life in which the story was based on Waimoana, a fictional city. Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the TV show Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Later, she played the character in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
